Eternal Log

Episode 46: Fifteen Year Old Ambition

After I finished my coffee, I went to a place where I used to practice magic when I was little.

This is where I spent most of my time when I was little.

And a place of memories I had with Roy and Shirley.

Something happened a while ago, but I feel like it was a long time ago.

There have been a lot of things lately and I haven't been here.

Occasionally, it might be a good idea to come here.

Something relieves my mind that I remember my beginnings.

And I stopped by the village where I lived when I was little.

The village was much more rebuilt.

But there's no more of the house I lived in.

The house I used to live in was remodeled to make your tomb.

I close my eyes and put my hands together on the grave marker.

"Jeez, Bye, I'm fifteen years old. I don't know if I can be a proper adult, but I'll try."

And look up at the sky and put the necklace in the sun.

"Dad, Mom, I'm one of the adults. Because I will be a kind adult like my father and mother. And I can live a happy life the way my father and mother wanted me to, so keep an eye on me."

I don't know what lies ahead.

But I'm an adult now.

You have to think for yourself, make your own decisions, and act for yourself.

All right, I think I can take a step toward my adulthood.

Father, Mother, Jae-chan... you have to be a shameless adult to my parents.

"" Happy Birthday, Hal!

Shirley and Allie welcomed me back to the castle.

"Thanks"

I didn't know you had a welcome.

I was honestly delighted.

And we headed to the dining room as the two of us guided us.

"" "Happy Birthday!!

When I open the door, I see there meat, seafood that smells deliciously baked and stimulates my stomach, and, in the middle, huge cakes on the table.

There are other delicious dishes and drinks lined up narrowly on the table.

Plus, it's a thoroughbred sofa that's been deliberately brought in for breaks.

Roy and Roy's father, mother, and Brother Alec, Sister Sephi, and the rest of the castle welcomed me when I was stunned.

"That was late, Hal"

"Kind of. But I didn't know there were so many people..."

I got a little emotional and lost my word.

"Well, it's a surprise. It's my birthday, more than that. You want a big drink?

... Roy, you're willing to drink.

And we got our seats.

"Now that the lead is here, it's time to start. Before I do, Hal, I want to say one thing to you."

Roy's father looks at me with a serious face.

"What is it?

"Hal, we think of you as a family. Not because you saved my life. [M] Of course I appreciate that, but we've been spending time together until today, and we see you as part of our family. So I want you to keep counting on me if anything happens, and I want you to be sweet."

Everyone is looking at me and nodding.

... Oh, shit. I think I'm gonna cry.

"Thanks......"

"Come on, I've finished my father's damp story, and it's a step toward my brother's adulthood, and I need to thank you! Hey, Sefi?

"Heh, right, Alec. So, Roy, it's nice to meet you, Allie, and Shirley, right?

"Well, I want to make a toast! Everybody got a good glass?

Before Roy said it, the castle people handily poured alcohol into everyone's glass.

"Celebrate Hull's step toward adulthood...... cheers!!
