DNF Meets Harry Potter

Chapter 23 The Ravenclaw Lounge

Under the leadership of the prefects of each college, the first-year students went to the common room.

The Ravenclaw common room is located at the west end of Hogwarts Castle, at the top of a spiral staircase, roughly on the fifth floor.

The entrance door has no handle or keyhole, but has a bronze knocker in the shape of an eagle. When you knock on the door, the knocker asks a question, and you can only enter the common room if you give the correct answer. Otherwise, not even the principal.

This year, the prefect who was responsible for introducing the basic information of Ravenclaw to the freshmen was Sister Penello. She stopped in front of the bronze door knocker. Then turned around and smiled: "Welcome to Ravenclaw!"

"I'm Prefect Penello, you can call me Sister Penello.

Our badge is the eagle, which can fly to heights that other animals cannot.

Our college colors are blue and bronze. Our common room is on the top floor of Ravenclaw Tower, behind an enchanted knocker.

Arched windows embedded in the circular common room overlook the school playground. No other college has such a breathtaking view. "

"No need to brag, Ravenclaw is indeed the house of the brightest wizarding wizards. The founder of our house, Rowena Ravenclaw, sees learning as the most important thing, and so do we.

Unlike other college common rooms, which have a hidden entrance, we didn't need this, our common room door was on a high, winding staircase without a handle, replaced by an enchanted eagle knocker.

When you knock on the door, the knocker will ask you a question, and if you answer correctly, you will be allowed in. For nearly a thousand years, this simple little barrier has kept everyone but Ravenclaw students out of the door..."

The freshmen were a little excited listening to the prefect crackling and making a big push.

Except for Carl, of course. "A question that can keep all the students except Ravenclaw out? The other three house students are afraid that their brains are similar to those of trolls. Let's talk and don't brag, okay?"

Sister Penello finished speaking about Ravenclaw's situation according to the script, and she was very satisfied with the excited expressions of the freshmen.

She stepped forward and knocked gently on the door.

Soon, an ethereal voice sounded from the door knocker: "You can do it, I can do it, everyone can do it, one person can do it, and two people can't do it together. What is this?"

"Come and give it a try, you have to exercise your logical thinking, otherwise you may not even be able to enter the door in the future." Sister Penello smiled softly and encouraged the freshmen to try.

"Did Ravenclaw like brain teasers so much back then?" Carl watched as the young eagles began to doubt life gradually.

300 points of magic intelligence bonus is definitely not a cover, Karl has the answer after a little thought.

"I'll try." He shouted out of the crowd and came to the door knocker.

"It's a dream!" he answered firmly.

"Correct answer!" Eagle Ring replied to Carl immediately, and then the closed door slowly opened.

"Perfect answer, well done, little brother Carl." As a Ravenclaw, Sister Penello kept her name and appearance in her heart when she was sorting, so as to avoid the embarrassing situation of calling the wrong person. It's been said that this happens a lot in Gryffindor and Hufflepuff next door.

"Trust me, you will fall in love with this process in the future..."

"When you go back to the common room, you may often see twenty or thirty people standing in front of the door knocker, all thinking hard, don't panic, it's not uncommon."

"The other thing to note is that every time the knocker is closed and then you want it to open, you need to answer a new question. As far as I know, it hasn't been repeated once in the thousand years since Hogwarts was founded."

"So it will be very inconvenient, but we can only abide by it. Because this is the rule set by Ravenclaw, before setting out, it is best to check your teaching materials carefully to see if there are any omissions. Sometimes the door knocker mentions it. The problem is that even seniors who are about to graduate have to think for a long time, which may make you late."

"Now, please come in..."

After saying this, Penello walked in.

The empty Ravenclaw common room was a large circular room, more ethereal than any other room at Hogwarts.

Elegant arched windows open on the walls, hung with blue and bronze silks: during the day, Ravenclaw classmates can see the surrounding mountains and the scenery is beautiful.

The ceiling is domed and painted with stars, just like the Hogwarts Great Hall, which was also furnished by Ravenclaw, and the dark blue carpet below is also full of stars. The room had tables, chairs, bookshelves, and in the alcove opposite the door stood a tall white marble statue of Rowena Ravenclaw herself!

Penello watched the stunned young eagles suppressed their smiles and continued to introduce.

"The ghost of our house is Lady Grey, who may not be very talkative. But she's more than happy to help you when you ask questions."

"Our common room is also known as the crystal farm. All Ravenclaws are more or less alchemists, and this common room is the perfect place to provide crystal growth. Ina Ravenclaw chose to cast it herself. So Ravenclaws can always get crystals for research."

"It's worth mentioning that in that era when wizards were prosperous. The four giants who built Hogwarts back then were the top beings in their respective fields."

"Beautiful Ravenclaw, from the quiet riverside, is a powerful magician who has reached the pinnacle of alchemy."

"The shrewd Slytherin came from that quagmire. The powerful black magic and top potions made him the most unprovoked great wizard at the time."

"Benevolent Hufflepuff, from the open valley, was not only a superb gourmet but also a master herbalist."

"Brave Gryffindor, from the barren swamp, and Slytherin are two extremes, and he controls the most powerful white magic."

...

"Don't worry about the Gryffindor and Hufflepuffs, I'll mention a little more about Slytherin. Well, maybe you've heard of some, they're not all bad guys, but you still have to be on your guard. Until you know them fully. It's a long-standing tradition for them to do whatever it takes to win, so be careful, especially in Quidditch matches and exams.

"The dormitory has been allocated, your names are written on it, and the salute has already arrived. Another point is that boys are absolutely not allowed to enter the girls' dormitory. The door of the girls' dormitory has a powerful magic cast by Ravenclaw himself. Forbid, if there are curious little boys who want to see its power, they can try it, but I guess St Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries and Injuries will have a big client."

"Finally, congratulations again to you for being part of the smartest, weirdest, funniest house at Hogwarts!"

The evolution of the double-shift beast failed... ( p'︵‵.)
