Chaplain!

90 The Old Man, Hendric Smith

She was first shocked, then she felt frightened!

She remained on her spot, but her mind was racing!

She clearly remembered that it was this old man who kneeled on the ground and called her his master's wife. He wanted to treat Olivia, but she took him as a liar!

But now...

Just as she was deeply immersed in her thoughts, her hands that were fidgeting suddenly felt warm.

She slowly turned around and looked at the man next to her. For some reason, the anxiousness she was feeling earlier slowly disappeared.

"This is the first surprise I would like to give you!"

Oliver Walker held onto his wife's hands which were no longer smooth and gentle due to all the work that she did, but without any doubt, this pair of hands were the most beautiful ones that he had ever seen.

Ten years ago, this pair of hands saved his life!

In the past eight years, the same pair of hands raised his daughter!

"I..."

Emilia's throat felt swollen. Perhaps it was because she felt shy or because she felt that she wasn't good enough. She tried to pull her hands away as she said, "But….I treated him that way last night…..would he..."

Other than feeling anxious and scared, she wanted to burst into tears.

If she knew that the person, who was dying to treat Olivia last night, would turn out to be the one hosting the health talk, she would not have reacted that way.

What if the godly doctor was offended by what she had done last night? Did it mean her daughter's life was at risk?!

Oliver smiled as he reassured her, "He wouldn't dare!"

This health talk only happened because he wanted to gain his wife's trust.

As for the rest of the VIPs in Colorado, they were only here as supporting roles so that his wife would trust him and Hendric Smith.

In other words, this health talk was only held because he wanted Olivia to get treated. It had nothing to do with these unrelated people.

Olivia watched how her parents were holding hands, right in front of her. Then, a smile appeared on her face.

As for Emilia, she had a thousand words to say, but no matter what they were, they couldn't come out of her mouth.

She could only choose to believe and keep all her worries deep inside her heart!

Simultaneously, the applause in the room was as loud as thunder. It did not stop.

In the end, most of them stood up due to respect as they welcomed the godly doctor from the International Medical Center.

Oliver Walker and Emilia were the only ones who remained seated.

At the same time, Hendric Smith hated these grand gestures. The only reason why he didn't stop them immediately wasn't because he wanted to appreciate these fake flatteries coming from the rest of the room.

He was already one of the best godly doctors in the whole country. Would this flattery bother him?

It was actually because he saw his master holding hands with his wife, and Hendric Smith didn't want to bother them.

He was aware that his master had been trying his best to regain the trust of his wife. His master had been cracking his head to do so. Otherwise, the health talk wouldn't have happened.

Once he noticed how his master's wife had slowly calmed down, he waved his arm and told the rest to quiet down.

Most of the socialites from Colorado were meeting Hendric Smith for the first time. They were looking at him with excited eyes and obediently kept their mouths shut.

They were even more obedient than his own grandson!

They could act impulsively...

But it depended on who the other person was.

They didn't even have the courage to offend Leon Williams. Why would they have the courage to offend the godly doctor?

However, there were just some who did not know when to give up. He said in a firm, disgusted tone, "Mr. Smith, please excuse me for being rude."

His eyes were burning in rage as he spoke, "When all of us welcomed you, these two dogs didn't even seem respectful. Instead, they were having their own moment!"

"It's indeed disgusting!"

"They do not…..deserve to be sitting here!"

Instantly, the entire auditorium turned quiet!

Emilia frowned. It wasn't that she didn't want to stand up, but it was Oliver Walker who stopped her. He had held onto her hand, and she couldn't get up.

Now….this became something that William Davis could use against them!

However, when the godly doctor arrived, it was indeed ill-mannered for her to remain seated.

Especially when she needed help from him!

After being exposed, her heart that finally calmed down started racing once again.

Before she even had the chance to explain herself, the rest of the room couldn't wait to burn her down!

"They are indeed horrible!"

"That bastard and that b*tch! How dare they disrespect the godly doctor? They should be shot to death!"

"Indeed! They're shameless!"
