327 Fighting Against Unknown Monsters

Lee Seng and Keng sprinted straight for the ogre. The ogre raised its  club swinging down at them. Keng split from his counterpart as Lee Seng released a constant stream of gravity upwards. The club slowly moved upwards as silver fox fires ignited all around the battlefield.

Keng released three Ignite Horizons, slashing and burning the ogre. The ogre screeched in pain as the sounds of goblins poured into the room.

'Just how many are there?' Lee Seng wondered. Lee Seng forced his aura out, spreading in all directions around him. Tendrils flew out of the golden aura, attacking the ogre and goblins as they rushed Lee Seng and Keng.

Lee Seng thrusted his hand upwards and watched the club fly upwards. He pulled backwards, releasing the stream of gravity as Dark Matter bullets flew out of his hands.

The ogre recovered it's hold on the club and turned to rush Lee Seng. Lee Seng pelted the ogre with Gravity infused bullets watching small holes appear all across it's body as it quickly closed the distance. Lee Seng slid backwards, the aura pulling back into him as The ogre swung down at him.

Lee Seng lifted his hand to shoot another stream of gravity out, but was met with shadows appearing in front of him. Shadow goblins slashed at him, pulling back into the Ogre's shadow as the club smashed into Lee Seng.

The underground cavern shook as the earth tore into pieces.

"Lee Seng!" Keng shouted. He slashed at two goblins before turning. The air in front of him shook, forcing Keng backwards as Shadow goblins attacked. The Shadow goblins landed on the ground, red eyes staring at him as the sounds of more goblins came at him.

"Dammit." Keng watched as the goblins surrounded him. "What type of goblins are those? They distorted the air like nothing. I couldn't even detect them." The black goblins' forms seemed wispy. It looked like they were turning to smoke.

Keng wanted to check to see if Lee Seng was okay but these unknown goblins were blocking him from going. Keng attacked the goblins with swipes. The goblins easily dodged and swung their wispy swords at Keng. The swords connected with Keng immediately fizzling away as they cut him. Keng grunted as goblins flew at him.

Keng moved into a defensive position, dodging the attacks as his wounds slowly closed.

'I need to worry about myself first.' Keng told himself. Light exploded out of his hands, blinding the goblins as he emitted fox fires in every direction. The goblins erupted in screams as Keng continued to barrage all sides with attacks. A black wisp from the silver light flew straight at him. Keng moved his head away, watching the Shadow goblin fly past him as the other one came. Keng dodged the attacks, landing kicks and slashes at the Shadow goblins. The three danced as the silver flames danced around them.

"ARGH!" Lee Seng blasted the club out of the ogre's hand. The yellow light of the barrier fading away as he launched himself straight at the ogre. Dark Matter wrapped around his hands as he plunged himself through the ogre, bursting out of the otherside in ogre guts and blood.

"ARGGGG!" The ogre cried as Lee Seng turned himself around. He hovered in the air as he pushed the blood off with gravity.

Dark Matter tendrils flew off of his body and plunged themselves into the ogre.

"I guess I'll just use you as a food source." Lee Seng snapped his fingers, watching the golden energy fly like electricity on metal strings. The golden energy ignited the ogre into flames as tendrils continued to plunge themselves into the ogre. Lee Seng pulled and watched as all of the energy and tendrils rushed back at him. Lee Seng could feel the energy fully rejuvenate his body, blooming two golden sun tattoos across his cheek and hand.

Keng grunted as he dodged a pincer attack from the Shadow goblins. He neared the silver flames and extinguished them. The energy from the ogre healed his body. The Shadow goblins flew straight for Keng. Keng jumped forward releasing blasts of gravity. The goblins easily deflected it and continued forward.

'Shit.' Keng thought. He raised his hands up to his face, creating a gravity barrier. The shadow goblins slashed at the barrier, sending Keng flying as shadows tried to eat at him.

"Argh!" Keng shouted as he bounced backwards. Lee Seng dropped to the floor, catching Keng. The silver flames lit the back of the shadow goblins as they slowly moved forward, growing another wispy sword in their free hand.

"What're those?" Lee Seng asked, pushing Keng back on his feet.

"I don't know. I thought you would know." Keng answered. Lee Seng spotted his scabbard off the corner of his eye and pulled it into his hand.

"Red eyes, black skin and some sort of flaming aura that's gray?" Lee Seng observed. "I've never seen one of these before. If they're throwing you around, this might be hard one on one."

"It'll be more manageable." Keng truthfully told him. "To be honest, my punches, kicks and claw attacks don't work. The flames off of the Aura don't work either."

"Have you tried Light yet?"

"If I wasn't cornered I would've."

"Then let's try it. Do you need the scabbard?" Lee Seng raised it.

"No, I'm more comfortable with my hands." Keng and Lee Seng shot forward. The shadow goblins blurred forward. Lee Seng surrounded himself and the scabbard in Light and gravity. He swung at the shadow goblin, feeling the shadowy swords connect with his scabbard. The two powers broke wind, whipping the cavern into a frenzy.

"Damn this thing is tough!" Tendrils flew off of Lee Seng, moving to strike the shadow goblin. The shadow goblin blinked out of existence as tendrils flew through it. The shadow goblin appeared behind Lee Seng. A quick blip fired off in Lee Seng's head as he raised his tail to block the attack. The goblin lashed out in a barrage of strikes as tendrils fired off of his back. The goblin threw his swords up to block, missing a few as they pierced it. Light flew off of his tendrils burning away the shadows on the goblins as it screamed in pain. Keng and the other shadow goblin exchanged quick blows. With the other goblin fighting Lee Seng, Keng didn't have to worry so much about protecting his back side as much.

The goblin would blink out of a direct hit and appear to the side or behind Keng and strike him. The shadow goblin managed to get good hits on him, causing Keng to keep his distance. He cracked his neck, injuries disappearing as his face grew dissatisfied with the situation he was in.

"Hmm, I  don't like the fact I'm taking after you as more time passes." Keng casually commented to Lee Seng.

"What do you mean?" Lee Seng jumped away from the shadow goblin's strike. "You don't want to be like me? Aren't I patient?"

"Yes, but you hate being an underdog."

"I wouldn't say underdog." Lee Seng watched as the shadow goblin tossed his shadowy sword straight at him. "I just hate losing. You can ask my brother." Lee Seng snatched the shadowy sword, disintegrating it.

'I need to end this before the Protocol fully peaks. This fight isn't helping me hold it back…' Lee seng rushed forward as another shadowy sword appeared in the shadow goblin's hand. The goblin rushed forward, the two connecting blows. The loud noise exploded all around them, shaking the earth as they fought.

"Fine, let's try that move General Halys showed me." Keng put his palms together. The shadow goblin rushed at him as he took in deep breaths.

"This is a great move to learn if you need to end a battle quickly." Halys spoke. Keng stood a couple feet away from Halys, watching him as he put his hands together like he was praying. "You channel the element and build it within your chest here." He removed a hand and patted his chest. "You feel it build and want it to surround your body. I'll make it obvious for you, so you can see the process."

A light green energy started to quickly build in Halys' chest. It quickly covered his body like an aura, but Keng could tell it was different from a regular aura.

"Once you start the process, moving may be a little hard at first, but if you get the hang of it you can move while holding the energy." Halys demonstrated by moving around. "For you, it'll be hard to move so you have to let your enemy come at you. Once they do…" He turned and punched the air. An explosion of earth energy rushed out, exploding in front of Halys. "You'll let go with a big bang!"

'Let it build inside of you.' Keng felt the light energy expanding all across his entire body as the shadow goblin grew closer. 'When your enemy gets close, you strike!' The shadow goblin launched itself into the air, raising its swords behind it, ready to strike. Keng's right hand blurred out and directly hit the shadow goblin. A bright explosion erupted all around him, lighting the cave as the shadow goblin rocketed backwards.

'Blinding Light!'
