24 – Participation in Battle

Group Battle Evaluation Note.

Princess Aliana looked at Ul Cron with her sad face.

“What are you going to do in group 5? Is there any way to win?”

“I already talked to the other Joe. Let’s drop it from 5 trillion. And now you don’t have to worry. Don’t you know that Gran and Echina fought last time? I knew it would.”

“Oh, I said we fought. But it didn’t look like a fight.”

“You ignorant bastard. He must have worked hard on Echina too. Still, Ekina doesn’t listen. She only follows her brother. Because of Echina’s personality, Gran would lift both her hands and feet?”

“I don’t think so.”

The princess looked at Gran who had just entered the classroom with her sullen face.

Following the gaze of the princess, Ulcron’s gaze also returned.

Gran was talking to someone.

And behind that, Ekina nodded her head, looking as if she would die at any moment.

“Eh, Echina?”

The evaluation method for the group battle was as follows.

All you had to do was battle with other members in an arena divided into a residential area and a forest area with dense trees.

You get 1 point for each person killed.

3 Points for capturing the last survivor of another group.

If you eliminate a group, you get a total of 8 points.

Conversely, if a member is eliminated, -1 point.

If all players are eliminated, -3 points are awarded.

Likewise, if all were eliminated, 8 points were lost.

And if there is no change in score until the end, -10 points. Simply put, hiding from other groups is the lowest point.

“Everyone understands, right? It will be automatically summoned if there is damage worthy of a fatal wound. It’s a practice weapon, so focus only on combat. Don’t be afraid of getting hurt. And there are teachers. Trust us.”

For some reason, Florina, who didn’t normally make eye contact, looked at me like Viteo and said.

After changing into magic-resistant training clothes, we stood in front of the entrance.

The starting point for each group was different.

The stadium was larger than expected, the size of two or three soccer fields. There was a fence around the arena, and a purple magic shield hung over it.

I don’t think it’s related to evaluation, but the architecture of the academy is amazing every time I see it.

Soon after that, the stadium door opened with the sound of an alarm that started the evaluation.

Our starting point was a dense forest.

“Sue, the forest has come out.”

Leae said.

For reference, I did not apply any buffs to Echina. Because of that, she was crying all morning.

“Hmm…. It would be nice to change places first.”

“Can’t we just stay here? I think going the other way would be more dangerous.”

Cleod said.

We wanted the first start as a housing district. The housing area was packed with buildings, and it was free from ranged attacks rather than forests.

In addition, the dense forest was not a suitable place to wield a sword. In close combat, daggers or fists were advantageous.

Since the rest of our group, except for Cleod, were close combat oriented, the better battlefield for us was the housing area.

Actually, my body was itching a little while ago, but I decided to give the team members a chance. Because the experience of fighting with friends and fighting multiple enemies is important.

“Moving to the housing zone would be good for us in the long run.”

“Okay, let’s move as Gran said. The leader of our group is Gran.”

Nathan said.

A battle was inevitable.

For the sake of score, for growth, it was best not to avoid battle.

With me anyway, there was no negative score in our group.

“It’s wider than I thought, but it’s not even a real forest. Let’s move as quickly as possible.”

The crew members nodded. Echinacea nodded as well. It seemed a little lacking in motivation.

I whispered in her ear.

“I like people with passion.”

Echina’s bent back straightened. She tried to smile like she was full of enthusiasm. She couldn’t tell if she was laughing or crying.

Our group started moving. At the forefront, Cleod takes on the role of a shooter and hunter.

He took each step carefully. In his heart, he wanted to go to the very front.

Cleod walked without saying a word.

His steps slowed down little by little and he kept looking around.

Looks like you’ve lost your way….

If you went straight ahead at the start, you would have arrived at the residential area right away.

However, Cleod proceeded cautiously and as a result he became poison. This is because dense trees confuse the sense of direction.

“That, Gran….”

Cleod smiled awkwardly and turned around.

“Heh heh, go all the way to the left from the direction you are standing…. Keep your head down!”

Cleod tilted his head as if to say something.

f*ck!

“Queeek!”

Cleod was hit by a blunt arrow and collapsed.

Cleod fell to the floor, grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and struggled to stand up.

“No, it hurts so much…. Uh? I am dead.”

Cleod looked at her hands and said. His hands were turning hazy.

“Sorry…. I guess I’ve come this far.”

He made a sad face and closed his eyes. Then it disappeared.

To complain a little, in an actual battle Cleod would not have died. Because I had healing magic.

Anyway, Cleod has already disappeared.

Actually, it didn’t matter much if he disappeared.

It’s a pity that Cleod himself can’t participate in the evaluation.

Wheeying!

I heard a creepy sound cutting through the wind.

The sound of the second arrow.

It was an arrow that flew towards me.

It wasn’t the normal arrow’s trajectory.

Like an arrow that has overcome the wind, it flew in a parabola to the right.

Grab!

I caught the arrow that flew straight to my temple.

“Don’t look up until I tell you.”

The members of the group kept their heads down and I was deliberately targeted.

An arrow comes flying again.

I didn’t miss the direction the arrow was flying.

This time it’s two feet.

They came from the same direction, but the arrows split into two sides.

Grab!

I caught the arrows flying from both sides with both hands.

Five enemies.

It was like a group with two shooters.

“The enemy is over there.”

I pointed to the direction the arrow flew and told the crew.

“Cheap, fight?”

“Heh heh, can I just run away with the enemy right in front of me? The place isn’t great, but close the distance and you’ll have a chance. I will provide cover until the three of you close the distance.”

From noble mtl dot com

“Uh, cover? With what?”

Nathan asked.

“Heh heh, isn’t there something like this?”

I had three arrows.

Grab!

2 More arrows have been added. Enough arrows.

“What are you going to do with it?”

“I have to shoot an arrow.”

I threw it with all my might in the direction the arrow flew.

Quaaang!

Unfortunately, there was no way for me to bend the trajectory of the arrow.

The arrow I shot flew through the trunk of a tree.

“Heh heh, what are you doing? I’m not going.”

When I said that, Nathan jumped up and ran towards his enemies.

Leae and Echinace followed Nathan.

I threw an arrow once again.

Quaaang!

“Quaaagh!”

I heard someone’s fierce scream in the distance.

“Oops, you got it right….”

The arrow didn’t fly anymore.

After throwing the last arrow, I moved to join the crew.

First I saw the two of them.

Staria Recio and Merneluso.

Staria was a shooter, Mernelusso was a druid.

Merneluso was confronting Nathan, and Staria was holding a fallen man in her arms.

Snen Broadwin was the one who was struck down by my arrow. He was a shooter

The enemy was 7 trillion.

The group consisted of 2 shooters, 2 assassins and 1 druid.

It was a somewhat unusual combination, but it was a party that boasted the highest efficiency in the forest.

“S, Sennen! Wake! Do you know where this is?

“Oops…. My heart hurts so much….”

Snen, who was held in Starria’s arms, fell asleep upon my arrival.

Starria looked at me with a grievous face, like a soldier who had lost her comrades on a real battlefield.

“What the hell did you do….”

Staria, the leader of Team 7, spoke with a trembling voice.

“Heh heh, it penetrated the tree, so life won’t be affected.”

Staria stood up from her seat. Her expression changed in an instant.

She looked around calmly like a hunter. Then she whispered something to Mernel Rousseau.

Mernel Rousseau nodded her head and glared at me with her fierce eyes.

“It looks like Mernelusso is my opponent. Druid, that’s great.”

Mernelusso jumped high. He climbed a tree and disappeared from my sight.

“Heh heh, everyone has to do their best to fight.”

After I said that to my teammates, I followed the druid I was going to play with for a while.

He climbed up and down the tree using his pointed hands and feet that turned into hands. He moved quickly and distanced himself from me.

It seemed like he was trying to widen the distance between me and the crew.

I sped up and jumped at him.

The druid quickly put his hand on the tree.

The tree he raised his hand on shook like an earthquake.

Wood deuk.

The tree roots broke through the soil and tied my ankles.

“It was a mistake that you followed me. Your crew must have already been helpless.”

“Heh heh, it’s okay even if I lose. Wouldn’t a painful defeat become a springboard for growth?”

The druid’s pointy hand was now wrapped in bark.

“Ooh…. That is the fist of a druid.”

“There would be no point in running away any longer. Gran! I wanted to fight you at least once!”

“Good. Welcome.”

He gulped and stared blankly at me for a moment. It seemed like he needed time to think.

Mernelusso squatted down. He spurs a tree and uses his elasticity to lunge at me.

Kwajik!

I moved my leg and broke the root holding my ankle.

I grabbed the Druid’s outstretched fist and used his strength to slam it to the ground.

“Heh heh heh!”

I didn’t mean to inflict a fatal wound, but there was a blunt stone on the ground.

“I’m crazy, I didn’t see…” .”

That’s how the druids disappeared.

He didn’t intend to engage in combat himself. He tried to work on the evaluation by acting as an assistant.

However, since it was not an actual battle, there was not much to do as a priest.

When I tried to heal, I was eliminated first, and when I applied a shield, there was no big difference from the buff.

I tried to make a 3v3 composition by dealing with the druids properly, but I accidentally eliminated two of them.

“As expected…. It doesn’t suit my temper to stay still.”

I headed to where the members were.

Hmm….

There is no one.

Not only our crew members, but also the 7 crew members were nowhere to be seen.

I didn’t expect the battle to end so soon.

I looked around. The ground was dug up and the tree had sword cuts.

There was a fierce battle in its own way.

At last, a sword fell off.

I couldn’t tell if it was Liae’s sword or Ekina’s sword because it was a practice sword, but it was certain that it was our team member’s sword.

“Then…. I will catch Article 7.”
