16 – Episode 4. Special Section.

<6>

The second day, after school.

I trudged along, holding back my drowsiness.

Yesterday evening, Joo Joo-young divided a total of 33 students, including Makina, into 11 groups by drawing lots.

Group of 3. In Legend of Academia, it is a form of group formed when assigning missions such as ‘searching’ or ‘collecting’ to characters.

After organizing the group, Ju Ji-young said, ‘The deadline is a week.’ She left first. She

She seemed irresponsible, but since she also serves as a test for this mission, it’s understandable.

The place I’m heading to is the plaza in front of the department store in the central shopping district of Accademia.

Unlike the shopping districts that exuded the scent of a local market, it is a busy street with a modern urban feel.

A group of students seemed to be going shopping with their friends.

Everyone was moving vigorously for their age, but in the meantime, I was the only one who was dying.

“… I will die.”

I am incredibly tired from the past few days. Until my whole body ached so much that I wanted something like this.

Is it because you have been following a schedule different from your usual Lee Si-hyuk for almost 3 weeks?

“Probably not.”

Exercising in the morning, cleaning the shopping mall, studying after school early, library for a while before leaving school, developing skills 30 minutes before going to bed.

As an academy student, this is a very exemplary routine.

But I don’t think this is a hard schedule that I can’t handle.

Although the exercise in the morning was a little strenuous, my physical strength increased day by day, but it did not decrease.

Is it also a nutritional problem? Other than that, I can’t think of anything else.

After coming to such a tentative conclusion, I arrived near the meeting place before I knew it.

It was 20 minutes before the appointment time, so I was probably the first to arrive-

“Ah, Mr. Sihyuk!”

I heard Suisei’s voice immediately shattering my thoughts.

The first thing that caught my attention was the clothes Suisei was wearing.

Different from the usual calm Edelweiss school uniform, this is quite an unconventional outfit: a black crop top that exposes the navel and jeans that fit perfectly to the pelvis line.

Maybe it’s because he’s tall, so it suits him well. It was quite fresh because it was Suisei who always wore a school uniform in the game.

“Are you here early?”

“No. I have just arrived.”

“I thought I must have come first.”

“Whoops, it would be better to hurry up a bit for that.”

Suisei covers his mouth and smiles slightly.

I was thinking that she’s definitely a beauty~, but I felt a stinging gaze on the back of my head. The owners of those gazes were the men who roamed around Suisei.

Perhaps it was hunting.

However, Suisei is definitely an iron-walled lady in this area. He seemed to have been rejected like a knife on all first attempts.

“It’s been a while since I went out like this on a weekday, so it feels fresh.”

“Edelweiss had a dormitory on campus. Is it forbidden to go out on weekdays?”

“Not like that. I didn’t have a specific schedule, embarrassingly.”

Suisei is an Indian digger who hates going out.

He is a heavy gamer whose hobby is FPS games in general and often stays up all night on weekends.

If you talk about this topic, you might quickly come to a consensus, but… When it comes to games, Suisei is the type to get excited and endlessly pour out what he has to say.

I didn’t come here to play, I had something to do, so I guess I need to be more careful now that we met.

Anyway, as I chatted with Suisei, time flew by in an instant, and it was five o’clock, the appointed time. However, the appearance of the last one has not been seen yet.

“You are late.”

“That’s right.”

Well, even though I expected it to be like this. What is that woman

While the conversation stopped for a moment, the cell phone in her pocket vibrated continuously, jing-jing. When I took out my phone and checked it, there were a lot of messages from Baek So-so in succession.

Baek So-so: Senior, I think I’m going to die!

Baek So-so: Senior, I’m scared!!

Baek So-so: Senior, please receive text messages quickly!!!

If anyone sees it, they’ll think they’re being chased by a killer. Of course, but not like that. It’s just that she caught a little scary guy in the same group as her.

Me: Why?

Baek So-so: This man must have killed a person! I can’t breathe! Please do something, senpai!

Me: What can I do?

Baek So-so: I listen carefully to what my seniors say. Would it be alright if you exchanged it with senpai Joe’s Suisei-san?

Me: No.

Baek So-so: Senior!!!!!!

Is that going to work?

If you can change it like that, there’s no reason to draw lots in the first place.

By the way, the last person between Soso Baek and Alex Cho is Machina. She’s not the type to communicate easily with Makina, so she must be moaning in an uncomfortable atmosphere by herself.

As I was fiddling with my phone for a while, Suisei took a small step closer and asked.

“May I ask who you are?”

“It’s a white cow.”

I switched my phone to silent mode and put it in my pocket.

“Did something happen to Soso?”

Seeing how they sing comfortably, it seemed like the two of them had already become close. After last night’s meeting with the special unit, Baek So-so’s hard work on Suisei seems to have paid off.

“It’s nothing, they said to save me.”

“… No way! Alex, that savage!”

From noble mtl dot com

Suisei’s complexion turned blue and he clenched his fists.

“Sihyuk. I have to go get Soso.”

“No need to worry. Because it’s a white cow’s fuss. Most of the rumors about Alex are exaggerated in the first place.”

Although Alex is basically a hot-tempered fighter, he is not as rare as the rumored villain without blood or tears. In most of Alex’s fights, the other person provoked them first and started a fight.

As long as it doesn’t involve his sister, he’s basically a nice guy.

“And if something happens, Mr. Joo Ji-young will take care of it. You must have enough safety devices to control Alex.”

“That’s true, but… “

“And we have to do our part.”

As I said that, I gestured toward Suisei’s back. A woman with bobbed hair in a red bridge stood there with her black mask on.

Sleeveless tee with exposed shoulders on tight leggings. It was Cody who was very purposeful to look mature, but with Suisei standing next to her, she just looks age-appropriate.

“You’re late.”

“… So what. Five minutes at most.”

Chaehee Rin didn’t even make eye contact with her, she muttered while fiddling with her cellphone.

Such an impudent attitude towards being late. After all, he’s the most ruthless character in Legends of Academia.

“Anyway, everyone gathered. Any nearby cafe-“

“Okay. But you don’t have to go.”

Chaehee-rin continued her words without even making eye contact with her.

“Because I have a reservation.”

<7>

Chaehee Lin asked me with a coy smile.

“How was it, was it worth eating?”

“Yes.”

I nodded my head up and down while fiddling with my bloated stomach.

We are at a high-end restaurant on top of a department store.

It’s a place I’ve hardly been to even before entering Lee Shi-hyeok’s body.

Hee-Rin Chae served a course meal at the high-class restaurant for dinner, apologising for being late.

You… You were a much nicer kid than I thought, Chae Heerin.

“That’s good. Oh, did Suisei-san eat enough? Well, to Suisei-san, who is an Edelweiss student, there may not be anything special about it.”

“Not necessarily. Apparently, this kind of restaurant is burdensome for students.”

“Aha, I’m sure it is. As an ‘A’ grader, I don’t feel that burdened.”

Yes. It wasn’t. Then it is.

When Chae Hee-rin deliberately emphasizes that she is ‘A grade’, it means ‘Unlike you, who is only a B-class, I can come to this place often.’

Anyway, Chae Hee-rin seems to have wanted to scratch Suisei’s nerves.

To pay a lot of money and come to a restaurant like this just to say that.

As I remember, Chae Hee-rin seems to hate Suisei quite a bit. Well, even that is limited to the beginning of the story, though.

“As expected, Heerin, you are the next ace to be responsible for the future of Cheongmyeong. I have to be careful this year too.”

At Suisei’s answer, I could see tendons sprouting from Chae Hee-rin’s forehead.

Suisei is a word that was brought up with the meaning of a pure virtue, but in Chae Hee-rin’s ears, ‘Yes, you are good. But you lost to me.’

Chae Hee-rin glances at Suisei, who swallows the dessert with her eyes sparkling.

But as if she couldn’t think of the right words to say, only her face was turning red.

Since Chae Hee-rin, who went further as she was, might end up sulking on her own, now is the right time for her to intervene.

“Since we finished eating, let’s start soon.”

“…… Good.”

Saying that, Chaehee Rin took out a small tube of her lipstick from her bag.

Why is that all of a sudden? Is she suddenly trying to fix her makeup?

Chaehee-rin opened her mouth as if she had noticed my curious gaze.

“A new cell phone model.”

“Cell phone?”

Chaehee Lin nodded her head and lightly touched the tube of lipstick.

Then, a group of lights emitted from the lipstick tube moved toward the ceiling, and soon changed into a hologram.

…Is this the future?

“What I have been looking for is students who have dramatically improved their abilities in the recent grade test. Elementary school students were excluded for the time being and collected, and the survey focused on students whose grades had risen or whose output had increased by more than 30%.”

When Chaehee Rin puts her hand here and there on her hologram, she soon turns into a file containing a person’s identity. Each of the forty files contains the names of the students.

And the name at the top is familiar to me.

“First of all, the most suspicious thing….”

I will

“It’s you, Lee Si-hyuk.”

Because that was my name.
