"That is…"

"…"

Ren Ye felt the silence was taking forever as he turned his head to look at Tang Bo with a deadpan expression, "Are you going to say anything?"

"Not for now. It spoils the fun," Tang Bo chuckled calmly as he closed his mouth and added, "You will be with me until we get out of here."

"What if I don't want to?" Ren Ye retaliated.

"You don't have a choice," Tang Bo replied gently as he pointed toward the scene in front of him, "Find the key behind the wall and lead us out of here."

"…"

Ren Ye sighed inwardly, "You sure confident in your trust in me. Are you sure you would want me to be the only one leading you?"

"Believe me. I have been observing you ever since you came into this world. I know you more than you even know yourself."

"I know what your favorite activity to at night and your favorite person in the world."

"What do you want from me in exchange of me leading you?" Ren Ye dismissed his playful remarks, feeling slightly flustered from the personal questions.

"I want something that only you can give," Tang Bo snorted playfully, "Replace Old Yi."

"I don't understand what you mean by that," Ren Ye responded calmly, "Didn't you say you killed him?"

"Do I look like someone who would kill recklessly just for the sake of killing?" Tang Bo asked in amused tone.

Ren Ye thought for more than a second before shaking his head, "You must have done something to him that he isn't here right now."

"It is not my doing. I was assigned to come here and bring him back to the Jade Emperor."

Tang Bo made a thoughtful sound as he added, "I heard the Jade Emperor is extremely furious for what he has done."

"What has he done?" Ren Ye didn't believe he would do anything illegal. But he could have done so without his knowledge. Ren Ye didn't come to an immediate conclusion at first but he had his doubts.

"He has angered him by bringing you to encounter other transmigrators too quickly."

"…"

"It is not his fault. I was too eager to rid of danger," Ren Ye defended Old Yi with a solemn face, "Isn't this apart of what transmigration is supposed to be?"

"My darling Ye, it is a game."

He appeared to know his true name as he called him using a nickname Jing Xue had once jokingly said to him while they were playing with each other on the bed after an exhausting physical exercise.

Tang Bo imitated Jing Xue's voice as he replied mockingly, "I don't have all time to handle you. I leave you here to handle your own situation since you do not want me to be here any longer with you."

As he said this, he raised his hands and snapped his fingers.

Snap!

"I hope we will meet each other again," Tang Bo said jokingly, "Even if we could not, you will meet my student."

After having said these, Tang Bo began to turn transparent as he pointed his finger atop Ren Ye's head. Ren Ye followed his direction and his eyes shrunk immediately.

A  horrendous and deafening roar echoed loudly as it shook the ground, breaking some of the pieces into bits. The ceiling filled with sharp rocks and blocks of dirt fell onto the ground, piercing the ground or dropped onto the red fire lake that seemed to keep increase in volume.

In his point of view, Ren Ye saw a mythical creature. A creature that seemed to have come from myths and fairy tales. Fairy tales where the noble knights slew the mighty beast he was saying right now to save their loved ones.

A dragon.

The dragon in front of him was covered in red cracks and strange symbols, its eyes were glowing in red and were glaring straight at him with absolute hunger for killing.

Ren Ye shook slightly and quickly turned his head to look at where Tang Bo was standing, discovering the man had disappeared at some point. Ren Ye's palm was gripping a dagger that Tang Bo politely left behind just so he could enjoy the view of Ren Ye being crushed to death.

Ren Ye gripped the dagger and didn't hesitate, he dashed forward in an attempt to hide himself from the dragon. The dragon roared once more upon seeing him trying to escape.

Tang Bo appeared behind him and slapped his palm against his back, Ren Ye's body went stiff before his eyes began to glow blue. He gritted his teeth and gripped the dagger even tightly.

He had the unbearable urge to charge toward the dragon.

He looked at his hands which were emitting blue flames that didn't seem to burn his hands whatsoever. Ren Ye raised his head ferociously as he clenched his jaw and charged forward.

"Good luck, soldier."

Tang Bo lowered his head and mumbled quietly under his breath before he disappeared out of hindsight.

Ren Ye charged forward in a speed he had never seen before, he carefully dodged the balls of fire that were shot from the dragon's mouth. Every step he took left behind traces of his aura that seemed to cover the whole cave.

Ren Ye raised his feet and jolted upwards, climbing onto the walls and pinning himself onto their using his dagger. The dagger pierced through the wall and kept him on his feet.

Ren Ye carefully observed as the dragon attempting to turn its mouth against him, it would be too late if he chose to jump forth as the movement would be too slow against an element attack.

He concluded that the dragon was of the Fire Element, thus making Ice effective against it. Unfortunately, he was unable to activate the abilities to the disappearance of Old Yi and possibly the switch off the Jade Emperor had placed on him.

For a mortal being to fight against a dragon the building of two buildings.

Ren Ye pulled the dagger out and dropped onto the ground, landing onto the ground as the fire burned the wall into melting lava. Ren Ye landed on his feet and sprinted toward the dragon.

He swiftly dodged the dropping large pieces of rocks that could crush one's skull if it were to ever get hit by one. Ren Ye grabbed a handful of dirt from the ground and threw it onto the air.

His figure was covered in a layer of dust, making the dragon unable to guess where he was.

The dragon , this time, roared loudly as its eyes glowed another layer of deeper red. This time the anger inside its heart was unable to be contained. It opened its jaw and spat out enough fire to burn the whole place into the ground.

As it did so, a bright burning light appeared out of nowhere and beamed onto the dragon. Five strikes of lightning bolt burst out from the ceiling and struck the ground in a terrifying manner.

Everything was covered in orange and red scorching heat. Nothing was left untouched as the wall turned black and the ground emitted smoke.

[Ice Body]

Ren Ye subconsciously activated this as he realized the dragon was about to burn the place into ground. He released the cover and raised his head in amazement as he discovered a figure in the corner.

In the man's hand, he was holding a tightly war hammer that originated from history. His eyes were mischevious and his beard was combed perfectly with slight wrinkles on his face.

He looked to be someone whose face didn't match his own again.

It was none other than Old Yi.

Ren Ye curled his lips into a confident grin, "Old geese, you are at it again!"

Old Yi nodded his head and smirked, he gripped his war hammer and a layer of lightning seemed to appear to guide him onto the air. He raised his war hammer and pointed at the dragon as his eyes were filled with bolts of lightning.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The sounds of thunder and lightning echoed in the air. Ren Ye teleported himself onto the nearest cliff. He summoned his halberd and inserted his energy into his weapon.

A blue and white shield covered the halberd in a layer of protection, Ren Ye pointed it against the dragon. He struck it alongside Old Yi's war hammer.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The world shook as these two landed onto the ground side to side. Ren Ye unfolded his palm and subconsciously ordered the halberd to return to his side.

The halberd obediently flew to his side as Old Yi's war hammer appeared in his hands.

"Apologies, I should have never left you with nothing," Old Yi chuckled deeply, "You have survived longer than I expected."

Ren Ye snorted, "I couldn't deal with them anyway. All I did was run away."

Old Yi shook his head, "I doubt it. I saw it."

"…"

The dragon didn't appear to be affected by their combined attacks as it roared once more, causing the ground to shake yet again.

Ren Ye relaxed his tense body, activating Ice Concealment and looked at Old Yi.

"I will try to get close to it and get it to reveal its weak spot."

Old Yi nodded his head and patted the war hammer, "It has been quite some time since I last lay my hands on this humongous beast."

"It won't be the last time."
