A Wish to Grab Happiness

Prologue: Days of Giving Up and Strange Encounters

Remove the iron armor and throw it on the floor. Take your sword off your hips, too, to your pillow. Both are products that give the body a taste of the weight of lead. Then I finally sit back on the bed.

It was a strange feeling. Feels like you're wondering about not having to work, like your feet aren't used to sitting down. That's what I thought. I realized. Oh yeah, calming my hips was a few days swinging.

Strange weakness and the feeling of twitching and blood going across your legs. Exactly, it's pitiful while my body is doing this any worse. I haven't even had a preserved meal for dinner, but I'd rather lie down in bed like this. I'm sure God would say that.

That's how I lay in bed, when I finally got drowsy from fatigue. From the next room, I heard a woman.

Shit, I think so, I pounded my tongue in my heart. I usually kept my distance about night shifts and watches, or fell asleep early and was abusive when I could stay in the inn like this evening.

If it's just a woman's voice, I don't think anything. But it was a strangely lustrous voice with a clear colour tone. The woman's high voice crawls out easily through the gap in the wall.

Make sure to cover your eyes with your arms and cover your body with a thin upper cloth. That made it a little better for a while, but if the night brings in the silence, a more accentuated voice hits the earlobes.

"Oh, my God..."

He whispered so, waking up his body without turning on the lights. Sneak your hands in the armor and insert the bite cigarette into your mouth, which has become almost the only personal object. The slight residual flavor distracted me when I bit it off.

Still, the woman's voice is ringing. I hear a man calling his name. I remember the name, and the voice of the woman who kept sounding.

Both belonged to the party accompanying the journey of salvation, it must have been.

"Can I still speak to you today, Mr. Rugis?"

For being called the Savior, the man's voice was a little high and tender.

"Fine. You better let me do my turn. It's easier to move in times of crisis."

I feel like that was true at first.

In fact, the night's eye is the best, and if you have to, you can get your body up and buy time. My turn at night is the most efficient and there's no loose ends as a party.

But not lately. I'm naming my night shift from myself, purely because I was uncomfortable. Should it be called the gaze of the women or the atmosphere? Anyway, it was much better to be on the night shift alone.

The man called the Savior lay his eyes down as he thought for a moment, but when he was called by someone in the woman, he bowed his head and left it. Wave gently and head off to the rocks a little off the party bunk.

Is that the fairy princess? So it's her turn today. I narrow my eyes as I taste one bite of tobacco that I let lurk in my armor. I can't even reach my voice here.

Our party, called the line of salvation, has also become a luxurious face for every journey we follow. Even so, except for me.

Princess of the Elves, the Sorcerer's Palace, the Knights' Toshiyoshi...... and the Bard Arueno.

No one, no one, he's a corner figure in the country or in the provinces. Depositing that much face is nothing more than the importance this journey attaches to. Apart from me, of course.

Exhale. The nostrils smelled pleasant and I felt calm for the first time in a long time.

As always, I don't see why people like me are being accompanied on this journey. I don't remember him being extraordinarily brilliant, or having the kind of stature to shoulder to shoulder with them. The arm of the sword has nowhere to be highlighted, and when it comes to stunts, the night's eye is so sharp.

Perhaps it worked for Arueno. That's all I can think of. Anyway, when you become the person who recommends me, it's like she's a childhood trainer.

I chewed too many cigarettes and my saliva accumulated. Throw it away on the spot and get it in your armor.

It was a pleasure at first. Of course, it's not because I can accompany you on a great journey, or because I've had the opportunity to be recognized.

Because Arueno was with me. She was my childhood friend and, above all, a one-sided opponent. I've had it for a long time, and I keep thinking about it. The journey with her was undoubtedly heartwarming, and I remember well leaving my homeland cheerfully.

Yeah, I was definitely an idiot then. Did you think I would make up for the great things like the journey of salvation?

On the journey, no. They accompany the Saviors. They are definitely top notch people and irreplaceable people. From them like that, I guess people like me look terribly boring and unattractive.

With me, it's not like I didn't do anything. No chores, no enemies, no battles. One street is doing it. But their eyes stare at me, cold. Although some put it in a visible and attitudinal way, others do not. The phrase "cold treatment," if applicable, may be correct. Even so, from her point of view, I guess she's just making an assessment commensurate with my prowess.

Among other things, Arueno was one person who worked for me. Even on this journey, the love she had from the beginning did not change. As long as I'm happy with that. Yeah, I think you're right.

"Dear Savior,"

The man is an obvious genius. I know very well. I keep an eye out for its incredible strength and responsiveness, even if I'm just next door in battle. With that youth, I can't imagine how I got that power. Undisputed, genius. An overwhelming force that does not allow other followers.

And the figure, naturally, attracted the women. The Elf princess, the Mage's Palace, the Knights' Junying... and even Arueno.

I am not sure how long it has been in such a relationship. But by the time I realized, they seemed to be in that relationship.

Even today, I'm sure, the women are intertwined with a man called the Savior somewhere who can't hear his voice.

So I make up some kind of excuse to look for a deaf place every night. These days were marked by days of getting a little sleep while standing at night.

Not yet, if only the other women. Nobody. He's the kind of women who want to get their hands on if they're men. You're right when it comes to envy, but that's still good.

But if. In case you hear Arueno.

"... did it fit"

Finally my voice from the neighbor's room subsided and I took a breath. Fortunately, it's still deep at night. From now on, you'll be able to sink into bed enough to sleep. Reach into the dark to try to armor the chewing tobacco.

"So, how long are we going to keep going?"

Out of the dark, my voice crawls out.

I saw a shadow. That's a shadow. Voices are people's. The shadow was sitting at the table sometime face-to-face, with my armor kicked in.

It's a fault.I can't believe I've never noticed an intruder before, even though my voice distracted me. Reach for the pillow sword. But...

"You've lost your gratitude. But they thought this was the best way to get in touch with you, and they did. Forgive me."

I just reached for my sword and my body was stuck like it was frozen. In the silence of the night, the heartbeat echoes in the body. Instead of raising your voice, you can't even open your mouth.

"You should be able to breathe. I'm not going to die. Don't worry, I'm just a haulier. I didn't sneak up on you to do you harm!

The content of the speech was mild, but the words seemed to be really rough and showed some impossible theatre. He was an incomprehensible, odd person. And most importantly, what you can't solve is that you can't capture what he looks like. I see a figure floating in the dark. But I can't recognize any part of the outfit, face, or detail.

Impossible. I'm only confident at night. Plus, I'm totally used to the dark eyes, and at this distance, there's no way I can't see them.

"You tried to recognize me! But I can't, Rugis. I am well aware of your characteristics. [M] Then it is only natural to strike the appropriate measures!

Roughing up his voice again, well, the man calmed down his words.

Measures. Why. I don't know why. Everything is unknown. Where do I need to sneak into my bedroom until I take care of it? I'm only the most unnecessary part of this party.

"Right there, Rugis. How long have you been spoiling yourself in the same position now, huh?

My body still didn't move, but my throat rang slightly.

The shadow continues the words.

"I brought you a good story! Oh, that's a very good story! So far, you may be a little wary. [M] I have to say that while I think so. Very, very good story!

No, the vigilance itself has always been. Again, it's some kind of slack. It was impossible.

"I'm a haulier. I've got an opportunity for you. I'll give you one chance. Give me a chance to anoint everything and redraw a painting called Life!
