Chapter 2 Fishing Port Boy

Chapter 2 Fishing Port Boy
2002, October.

Port of Nem, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the long and narrow coastal plain, the Dilmatia coast has become the most important port construction location in this area.

However, compared with the narrow coastline, Bosnia and Herzegovina only has 24 kilometers of coast and a harbor called Nem Port.

This is also the only port of departure for Bosnian fishermen and fleets.

At night, the sky is dotted with stars, and a bright moon is surrounded by stars, emitting bright moonlight.

But the faint light cannot dispel the darkness of the vast sea.

A lighthouse stands on the surface of the sea that seems to swallow everything.

The faint light emitted from the top of the lighthouse became the only light source on the entire dark sea surface.

The lights flickered and became the only sign on the dark sea surface, as if welcoming sailors returning home.

Not long after, a low whistle broke the silent sea level.

Woo~~~~~~~~~~~! ——

The low sound of ships continued to spread forward, and soon they arrived at the port.

In an instant, the originally quiet port suddenly became lively.

Lights shone down from the dome, and the workers and sailors who were sleeping got up one after another.

"Back to Hong Kong! They are back to Hong Kong!"

"Everyone get up and start working!"

"Get up quickly, the fleet is returning to port."

One by one, the workers got up, skillfully put on suspenders and waterproof pants, put on rain boots, pulled up a single-wheeled cart from the side, gripped the handle tightly with both hands, and were ready to rush out at any time.

The workers at these ports all had tanned skin and messy hair, and their bright eyes were staring at the fleet returning to the port in front of them.

But among the crowd, there was a figure who didn't fit in.

This is a child about 150 centimeters tall, with yellow skin and black hair. His thin figure is wearing a pair of wide suspender waterproof pants. The suspenders are tied very tightly and knotted on both sides of the body, keeping the clothes as much as possible. It was lifted up, but even so, the crotch still drooped seriously, like a short-legged person.

In an extremely funny scene, the workers around him turned a blind eye to him.

The little guy has a round head and baby fat on his cheeks. He looks about [-] or [-] years old, but his eyes are firmly looking forward, as if he wants to fight his way through this group of workers.

At this time, fishing boats began to enter the port one after another and moored at the port. Following the orders of the management staff in front, the workers rushed forward like a flood.

"I am coming!"

"First come first served!"

"Are you running slowly?"

The workers quickly pushed the wheelbarrow forward. In a port lacking mechanical operations, manpower is the most reliable transportation force.

And these workers will gather here every time the fleet returns to port. After all, they only need to carry it once, and they can earn an income of 10 marks. A few more trips can cover less than half a month's salary.

For this reason, every time the fleet returns to port, it is a good time for these workers to make quick money.

Soon, the fastest workers broke out to form the first echelon, but surprisingly, the boy was among them.

The boy's legs were short, but his feet were fast. He pushed the wheelbarrow and dodged nimbly among the crowd, avoiding confrontation from the strong workers, while maintaining enough speed to follow the first echelon.

The first echelon of workers quickly arrived in front of the fleet.

The boy also found a ship docked on the shore and shouted loudly: "Kovich, hurry! Load me up quickly!"

A head popped out from the ship. He was a young man about 25 years old, wearing a crew hat. When he saw the boy, he couldn't help laughing and said, "Hey! Suk, long time no see!"

"Long time no see, hurry up and load the goods!"

The young man named Suke waved his hand perfunctorily and continued to urge.

Kovich shrugged, turned and shouted; "Captain, get ready to load!"

A man with a thick beard smiled, turned around and said loudly: "Guys, Suk is here to rush the loading!"

Hearing this, there was laughter on the ship.

There was a trace of dissatisfaction on Su Ke's round face, but the crew members were not slow in their actions. They opened the tank cover and began to simply divide the fish, and then shoveled part of it into the cargo slot of the wheelbarrow. Finally, the boy Suk covered it with a wooden board, turned around and rushed towards the other side.

Su Ke has a flexible body, but his body is obviously not stretched out, and his strength is extremely weak. For this reason, it is very difficult to push the cart, and the speed is greatly slowed down. He is soon left behind by other workers. .

Looking at the distant delivery point under the light ahead, Su Ke couldn't help but muttered and cursed:
“Stupid port, why put the delivery point so far away!”

He was cursing, but his feet were still running forward vigorously. However, the frequency of his short legs was greatly weakened under the load. As he ran forward, he fell directly into the last echelon.

Whoa! !

Suk came to the delivery point. There was a row of delivery points with ten sinks marked from 1-10. There was a recorder sitting opposite each sink. When the workers completed unloading, they would write down each other's names. .

Suk's movements were very smooth. He quickly stuck the wheel of the wheelbarrow on the wooden board, raised the handle, tilted the fish directly into the plastic tank, and then turned around and ran away.

"Suke! Once!"

The recorder across the sink whispered something and immediately recorded it.

Soon, with the hard work of each worker, the fish was moved cleanly in just one hour. After finishing the moving work, it’s time to collect the money, which is a joy to watch.

The early morning sunshine filled the port, and the merchants were satisfied with collecting the fish and preparing to sell it. Some local residents also came to buy the fish and prepare to sell it in the market.

The entire port became more lively.

On the other side, workers lined up in a long line, and a person in charge at the front was handing out commissions.

"Sesik, 15 times, 150 marks!"

A Bosnian Muslim male happily took the money from the person in charge. After confirming that it was correct, he happily turned away and left. This early morning hard work was enough to be worth half a month's salary.

"Svekoci, 13 times, 130 marks!"

This is a man of Croatian origin. Bosnia and Herzegovina borders Croatia. There are also many Croatians living in Bosnia and Herzegovina this time.

Each worker received his wages in an orderly manner.

Soon, the short Suk stood in front of the person in charge.

The man glanced at Su Ke, took out a stack of banknotes and said: "Suke, 10 times, 100 marks!"

Su Ke's eyes widened and he said loudly: "No, I moved a total of 12 times. You missed the count by two."

The person in charge frowned and said, "I remember it clearly above, just 10 times."

"He remembered it wrong!" Su Ke shouted loudly: "You can't deduct wages. If you do this, who will work here in the future?"

The person in charge looked indifferent, and the workers behind him also looked at Su Ke impatiently.

But Su Ke was still reluctant. The little guy was not tall, but his voice was loud and bright, and he quickly attracted a crowd of spectators.

Seeing more and more people gathered around, the person in charge also felt troubled. He lowered his head and said coldly to Su Ke: "Just 10 times. If you want to continue doing this job in the future, then take your money and get out!" "

With a strong threat in the other person's eyes, Su Ke looked down at the money, finally grabbed the money, made an international greeting gesture towards the person in charge, and immediately turned around and left.

A good man doesn't take immediate losses. Su Ke knew very well that if he continued to struggle, not only would he not be able to receive the money, but he might even be beaten.

With Suk's departure, the farce also came to an end, and the workers continued to line up to receive their wages.

At this time, Su Ke came to sit on a step at the edge of the port, looked down at the money in his hand, and said with a pity on his face: "20 marks missing, this is 10 glasses of milk!"

"Black-hearted Harun, why is this guy targeting me?"

Suk became more and more melancholy as he thought about it, his little head drooping in frustration.

“It’s better to have less money than to lose your job!”

Suddenly, a voice came from the side.

Suk turned around and saw a young man named Kovich standing next to him.

Kovich threw the milk in his hand. Suk's eyes lit up when he saw the milk. He immediately took it, unscrewed the cap of the bottle, and poured it down.

Watching Suk drink the milk in one gulp, Kovic glanced up and down and said, "How come I haven't grown at all? I was over 16 centimeters when I was 170 years old."

"It will grow!" Su Ke licked the remaining milk on his lips, turned his head and said seriously, "I just grew up late."

Kovic grinned: "Who would believe that the 150cm tall guy in front of me is actually a professional player playing in the third level league of Bosnia and Herzegovina."

Su Ke stretched out his index finger and shook it from side to side, and said seriously, "He is the best shooter!"

Kovic raised his eyebrows: "How many goals have you scored this season?"

"Eight balls so far!"

"The league should be in its 12th round now, right?" Kovic was slightly surprised.

Su Ke: "11 rounds, eight balls!"

Kovic gave a thumbs up: "Awesome."

Su Ke turned around and smiled: "A guy like me is still insisting. Do you have any thoughts about coming back to play football?"

Kovic laughed and said: "What kind of football do you want to play? I am still playing in the third level at the age of 25. It sounds like it is the third level, but in the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina, except for the Super League, the rest are amateurs. I don't want to Play football and work part-time to make ends meet.”

Su Ke: "I still miss your passing, your coquettish long passes!"

Kovic smiled, stretched his body and sat next to Suker, and said, "I have given up football. I think I made a right decision. You should bless me."

Su Ke said helplessly, "Okay, then I'll bless you."

After a pause, Su Ke turned to Kovic and smiled: "As a former teammate, can you do me a favor?"

Kovich was curious: "What's the deal?"

There was a hint of ferocity on Suk's childish face, and he said viciously, "Testify for me, I want to report Harun for employing child labor!"

Kovich opened his mouth and said in surprise, "Are you serious?"

Su Ke: "That guy deducted a lot of commission from me. I want him to spit it out twice as much."
